Why this exists.
AI Vote Guide is a nonpartisan public-interest resource. Our goal is to make AI policy legible to general voters — not just to insiders, lobbyists, and industry analysts.
We cover AI regulation, elections, political spending, and the major policy debates that will shape how artificial intelligence is governed in the United States.
In the 2026 midterms specifically, AI companies and their investors have committed more than $185 million to electing candidates on both sides of the aisle. The ads rarely mention AI; they run on cost of living, healthcare, and corruption. We track who is spending, who they are backing, and what AI legislation is in play.
Nonpartisan. Source-verified. Updated as news warrants.
Methodology
FEC filings (fec.gov), Transformer News PAC tracker, Axios, CNBC, NOTUS, NBC News, TechCrunch, Punchbowl News, Florida Politics, Houston Public Media, Texas Tribune, Bloomberg, Washington Post, Bitcoin News. All dollar figures are drawn from FEC quarterly filings or confirmed news reporting citing those filings. Where figures represent a floor rather than a total, they are marked with a + sign. Nonprofit spending through 501(c)(4) organizations may not be fully reflected in public filings.
This guide draws on and links to data maintained by Transformer News and ElectHumans for raw FEC expenditure tracking.
An important caveatAnthropic's $20 million donation to Public First Action is restricted to education and public awareness activities. It cannot legally be used for election spending. The source of Public First Action's affiliated super PAC spending ($3.48M to date) has not been publicly disclosed. This guide reflects that distinction.
